Boot care

We know you love your Loon'r boots, and we want to help you keep them looking and smelling as fresh as the day you got them. Plus, our removable liners aren't just a cool feature. They're your ticket to a lifetime of happy, stink-free feet. Here's how to keep both in tip-top shape.

TL;DR

Wipe the shell down with a damp cloth. Air-dry the liner. Never heat up your shells. Knock the mud off the tread. Store somewhere cool, dry, and out of direct sun. That's most of it.

01

Dirt, dust, debris? No problem.

Start by giving your boots a good wipe-down with a damp cloth. Think of it like a mini spa day for your boots. It's good for the sole.

02

Lather up. Gently.

Grab a soft sponge and a dab of mild detergent or soap, then scrub. Your boots will thank you by sparkling like new. Skip the harsh solvents. They dull the finish.

03

Rinse + refresh.

Wipe away excess soap with a clean, damp cloth. You don't want your boots feeling sudsy. Just clean and refreshed.

04

Dry time.

Let your boots dry in a cool, dry place. No sunbathing. No toasting by the fire. Any source of heat can shrink the shell or warp the liner. Patience pays.

Liner care. Fresh feet, happy friends.

Removable liners are the unsung heroes of your Loon'r boots. They keep things clean, comfy, and odor-free. Pick the tier that matches the situation.

Light odor

Pull the liners and let them air out in a cool spot. Give them a light spritz with fabric deodorizer if you're feeling fancy.

Result: Fresh as a daisy. Your travel buddies will thank you.

Light dirt + odor

Grab a clean cloth, dampen with warm water, and give the liners a gentle rub-down. Focus on any visible spots.

Result: Liners as good as new and ready for the next adventure.

Heavy dirt

Option A. Sink or basin.

  1. Fill with cool water and a mild detergent. Hand-wash the liners like you're giving them a tender little bath.
  2. Squeeze a few times to work out debris. Press dry in a towel to blot excess water.
  3. Lay them flat to dry. Keep them away from heat sources or direct sunlight.

Option B. Washing machine.

Gentle cycle, cool water, mild detergent. Air dry only. Never the dryer.

Result: Clean liners. Happy feet. Anyone within smelling distance approves.

Just wet

Pull the liners out and let them air dry. Set them somewhere warm and ventilated. A boot dryer is perfect.

Most liners are back in action in about an hour. Skip direct heat sources (radiators, fires, the dashboard in July).

Result: Dry liners. Back at it before the next storm.

Important

Washers and dryers were two of the greatest inventions of the 1800s. (Yes, they go that far back.) Here's how they fit. The washer is fine for liners on a gentle cycle. The dryer is never fine. And neither is welcome anywhere near the shells. Wipe those down by hand.
